Remember how it took several months for the second lore drop to come out? Yeah, we’re not doing that again - this time, we actually have them all ready to go. So here’s the first part of Drop 3, “Accounts of a Fading Empire”.

These are going to be a series of in-universe “primary sources” such as letters and other documents, showing the cracks in the Avignon Empire’s shell, forming irreversibly as it approached its final days.

In this drop, a letter penned by a captain of the Avignon’s navy to an old bunkmate from his officer’s academy days: the standing Emperor, Renard DeColde. In this letter, the captain addresses a concerning set of misdemeanors conducted by members of the imperial secret police, and his fears of what that could mean for the future of the nation.
