Devlog 04: Pre-Expansion Balance Tweaks and a Little More Errata


Hey there!

We've just pushed *another* update, although this time it covers the whole thing! It covers a little more than just some errata too, more precisely:
- DJP-01 "Nomad" and DJP-02 "Outrage" now both have Weapon Properties, which are listed in their respective frame sheets. Nomad's is called "Dempsey Protocol", and it allows it to enter Evasive Stance by landing 5 Light Attacks in a row. Outrage's is called "Clash", and allows it to fully deflect one melee attack per match. This causes the difficulty value ("ROLL") of the opponent's next attack to increase by 1 as well.
- The ranged weapons of DJP-03 "Typhoon" and DJP-04 "Viper" have been swapped, so that now Viper carries a Plasma Cannon and Typhoon carries a Slugger Rifle. 
- Viper's Special Move, the "Flurry Rush" has been reworked, so that now each hit of the "rush" has a specific property (which, like all other multi-hit Specials, only activates if you end the move on it).
- The "Shot Finisher" property, found in Viper's Heavy attack ("Bayonet Lunge") and Special Move ("Flurry Rush"), now covers an extra tile, extending its range by 1 tile (directly in front of the frame) when used.
- The Streak Launcher now has an extra property, "Explosive", which causes the shooter to take damage if the weapon is shot from a tile adjacent to the target. 
- All frame sheets now have a ticker for "Evasive Stance", to better keep track of it during combat.

Essentially, it's a collection of tweaks that we've tested along with the new fighters - stuff we either forgot or just didn't think to add on release. From what we've observed, they make the game feel a little better without altering the matchups too much, so we decided to put them out before Second Round's full release as an appetizer of sorts.
